Fall Fun

 My favorite time of the year...FALL.  It was a perfect day for an outing to a local farm and then to a nature center.  The weather was about 60 and the lighting for fall pictures couldn't have been better!  

Lots of running and pumpkin climbing gave me some good photo opportunities!

 We found some bird seed.  At this nature center, you can put some bird food in your hand and the birds will come and eat it.  Such an amazing experience if you have never done this before!

 It was fun to run through the herb garden and head towards a small waterfall.

 If there is something to climb on, we will find it! 

Right before we left, I was lucky to catch a perfect reflection in the pond.  Beautiful!

Cartwheels for Crohn's

Our gymnastics teacher had a fundraiser with another family for Crohn's Disease.  She had the kids collect money for doing cartwheels down a bike path.  It was funny to see all her student's working hard to get 200 or more cartwheels before the finish line.  Honestly, I quit counting at 10! 

 Great cartwheel...the only hard part was putting her hands on a gravel like path!  

 Even her teacher's were doing cartwheels.  Dawson is on the far left.

 And everyone finished off by walking across the finish line!  

What's Your Goal for Kindergarten?

At school, all the kids were asked what their goal was for kindergarten.  Keep in mind, Dawson's dad has "begged" her to play soccer and her answer is always NO.  

This goal made us laugh!

The Last Few Days of Summer

This past weekend we caught a few a few days were we could swim in the pool and play on the playground.  It has been a little rainy but, super hot.  In between the rain showers, we went swimming with Grammy and Papa.  

 We played catch....

And went down a super high slide!  I didn't know they were even allowed to be this high these days!!!  Good bye summer and welcome fall.  We are ready for a season change and a little cooler weather!

Kindergarten

Last week was our official start of kindergarten.  As we were sad that our fun summer had come to an end, we were ready to start our new school year.  Dawson went to school a little shy and came out of school with her teacher ALL SMILES!!!  She had a great day!

Princess and Pirate Night at the Zoo

The zoo had a special Princess and Pirate night this week.  The girls looked beautiful and took part in all of the event activities...including jumping in the bounce house in princess dresses and crowns!

 Just having some fun wearing a princess dress and twirling!  

 They started out making beautiful wands for the magical evening.

 Next, came the touch tank.  Here she is touching a horseshoe crab.  The girls also pet stingrays.

 Skipping and smiling were the themes of the night!

 Our first face painting.  In the past, Dawson has always has her hand or arm painted.  She loved it!

 My three beautiful princesses!  Dawson did not want to be a Disney princess this time.  She just wanted to wear this dress with a crown.  It was a perfect princess dress!

At the end of the night, the two girls sat down for a chat and a rest.  Good night my sweet princesses!
