Where have we been?  For the last four days we have been in Children's Hospital suffering from a virus that caused immediate dehydration.  I had no idea that 8 hours of throwing up would lead us to the hospital for continuous IV's.  On Wednesday, we headed to Hudson's Pediatric emergency room (run by Children's hospital) to get a quick IV.  After 6 hours we were transported down to the the main Children's hospital and ended up being there four days.  We just got home late this afternoon and are hoping to stay here.  At the hospital, Dawson refused to eat or drink, keeping her dehydrated,  so we had to stay until she could prove she could do it on her own.  This never happened so I had to start begging to get home.  We had a great Dr. today that I was able to convince if he let us leave, she will eat and drink at home.  Our days there were long and Dawson refused to sleep.  Going home was a fair option I thought.  Nothing else seemed to be working and all of us were getting NO SLEEP night after night.  As soon as we got in the car, Dawson was asleep for the next four hours.  She woke up, drank a cup of milk, ate some soup and went back to bed at 8:00.  This is a child who refused to do all of the above for four days.  What can I say....THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME!!!!

Just hanging out feeling miserable.  Her arm is wrapped so that she keeps the IV in.  She didn't seem to mind it at all!

We are ready to go home.  Thanks Lynn, Grace and Grammy for the balloons.

ELMO LIVE AT PLAYHOUSE SQUARE!

I wasn't going to do it..take her to her first stage show at 1 1/2 but, I did it and she loved it!  Dawson and I went with our friends Lynn and Grace to watch Elmo Grows Up today.  I could not believe how well the girls did.  They both sat through the entire show and the 15 minute intermission without any problems.  I took so many pictures I had to put them in a slideshow.  Please share the fun we had by viewing our slideshow!

Happy Valentine's Day!  Dawson woke up this morning ready to go and was snooping through her diaper bag.  What did she find?  Her Valentine's Day card from Grammy and Papa.  When she opened it up, money fell out and it played a song.  She was just staring at it trying to figure out what was going on.  She is very inquisitive!  The video is from my camera and it ran out of memory so it is very short!

Did Dawson get new shoes?  Yes she did but, they are pink Nike's not mommy's black patent leather shoes.   I also gave in tonight and put on her new Valentine P.J.'s.  I love ladybugs and they look so cute!  I'm not sure the shoes go with the outfit.  Something else I have to work on...coordinating her shoes with her clothes!  Isn't she too young for that already?

Last night, we went to Sam's Club and then decided to just stay in and play.  The large Valentine's Day dog is from Tommy.  Supposedly, when Dawson and Tommy went to Giant Eagle, she pointed to the dog and wanted it....so she got it!  I'm now going to try to point at things when Tommy is around and see if I will get them!  For some reason, I don't think it will work for me!  The first picture makes me laugh.  Tommy said she is imitating Handy Manny and is looking for a leak in the roof.  Maybe she can help Papa fix things in his houses?  That would be good because the rest of us, including Papa, can't fix a thing!

After work today, we came home and just played for awhile.  I was cleaning a few things out of Dawson's drawers, while she was trying on sunhats.  Too cute!  Notice poor Ella giving Dawson the stare down for some goldfish crackers.....poor Ella...always waiting for the leftovers!

I want some goldfish crackers!

How about a little fun on the farm?

PAY IT FORWARD.....WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
if someone does something nice for you, you in turn go out and do something nice for 1 or more people.
I can never repay anyone for Dawson and how lucky I am to have such an amazing little girl.  So, I decided to try and Pay It Forward by sponsoring a 5 year old little girl in Guatemala.  I really researched the validity of all the programs available and now feel like this is the best one.  The majority of my donation goes to paying to send Nicte to school, providing her with shoes, school supplies, and a backpack.  She is just starting school in 2009!
