Sledding

Lynn invited us over for a play date and we were lucky Kyle volunteered to go outside with the girls to get in a little sledding!   Thanks to Lynn, she caught a few great moments for me with her camera!  These girls looked like they had a blast!  

 This one is my favorite by far….look at these two faces!

 We are looking forward to some more snowy days to come.  I would like to hit the ski slopes soon!

Snow at Last

These two took out the snowman stuff and got to work all by themselves.  In about an hour here is what they came up with!  I was really impressed that they could do this without any help at all!!!

Art Studio

Each year we try to go to the art studio with friends to make our annual Christmas ornament.  This year we had a group of 7….lots of fun!

Mother Daughter Luncheon

The Mother Daughter Luncheon is always a fun time to spend with friends.  The event is a fundraiser for the school PTO.  It consists of lunch, raffle baskets, a DJ and tons of running around. (Which I'm sure they should not be doing…..so much fun though!) 

The girls all had balloons and they were popping them everywhere.  

 And Dawson joined in on the fun after awhile.

 It was fun to walk around and put raffle tickets in all the different bags.  We didn't win which is always a slight disappointment!

School Halloween Party

This year it seems like Halloween is happening over and over.  Trick or Treat, Boo at the Zoo and finally her school party.  WHEW!

            

Thanks to Pinterest, I made these cute bags for her class party.  Dawson loved coloring in the ghost faces.

 These were the biggest hit of the party.  They were fruit kabobs with a Halloween peep on the top.  I was trying to add a bit of healthy food into the party.  I'm so glad it worked!

 One of the school traditions is to trick or treat through the school.  They don't get candy, just fun things like erasers, pencils and fruit snacks!

 After the Trick or Treating, all the classes meet in the gym for a fun Monster Mash Dance party.  She is dancing with her prayer partner (6th grader).

 Lots and lots of fun with her classmates!  Running and running at the dance party!

Happy Halloween

Thank goodness our Trick or Treat night was on Sunday and we had good weather.  There was a slight chill in the air...just as Fall should be!

These five girls set out to trick or treat.  The big girls ran way ahead and the three little girls ran but, not quite as fast.  This was the first year the little girls ran most of the night!

Our local police and fire department always go through the neighborhoods passing out candy in their cars, firetrucks, and ambulances.  

This was so funny. This house has a fog machine, which you can see in the picture, and a man dressed up in a costume sitting in a chair by the front door.  Every year he does the same thing....he pretends he's fake, then he jumps up and scares the kids.  

The three girls were memorized watching all the other kids go up to the door and get scared.  One of my favorite pictures!

Happy Halloween 2013

Pumpkin Carving

This year was no different than last year.  Dawson worked non stop on her pumpkin face.  As always, she had something on her mind and went right to work creating it!

This year her face included eye lashes and hair.  She did not want them cut out, just drawn on with a sharpie.  At times it's hard not to make suggestions but, I didn't!

My girl was proud of her creation!

The white "Cinderella" pumpkin is mine.  I try to keep it simple so she is creative with her pumpkin instead of copying mine!  I really like the white pumpkins!

Trick or treat night was perfect with her pumpkin lit up by our front door!
