October 5th, 2008

What a beautiful weekend! We spent some time on the slide on Saturday and headed to a party on Sunday. A group of people formed a Guatemalan play group about 6 years ago. Most of the kids are 4, 5, and 6 years old but, there are a few younger ones. This play group has outings about once a month and today's was at a farm which one of the family's own. We went for a hayride, saw some animals, made trick or treat bags, and played with some balls! Dawson was a little shy at first and then jumped right in! We had a lot of fun with all the Guatemalan kids...they are such amazing children!

Welcome Fall!!! Sunflowers are my absolute favorite flowers! About 10 minutes away from my house, there is a small farm house that sells sunflowers, mixed flowers and pumpkins this time of year. It's a very small place and you leave the money in a box on the side of the road. Dawson stopped by for the first time and found a few good things.......

I love Fall and am really going to plan lots of fun things to do with Dawson. Yesterday, I picked her up from my mom's house and headed to my school for a free hot dog dinner, followed by a football game. Dawson loved the hot dog and really got into the marching band! Her favorite thing to do was run up and down the hill at the game! What a social girl she is! Today, we went with Aunt Beth to the orchard to pick up a few apples.

The video is a little boring but, I wanted you to see how she can just stand around, water plants and eat cookies for a long time!!! We are learning to multi-task at an early age!! She thinks she is soooo grown up!!

As for Papa, he is always trying to get in the pictures. He wants to be on Dawson's blog ALL the time! So here he is getting a little love from Dawson before we head to the football game!

How about an apple? These apples sure look good!!!

It's hard to believe Dawson has been home 4 months already. When I think back at all the changes in her life and all the adaptations she has made, it's unbelievable how well she has adjusted! I can't even remember what life was without her!
When I brought her home, she was afraid of water....Look at her now!

She was so tiny and shy....look at her now! She is soooo grown up already! (check out the new bunny slippers)

She was not mobile at all.....look at her now! (she never stops!)

Sept. 10th, 2008

A few weekends ago, we were at the lake and Papa Pat was supposed to be watching Dawson swim on the deck. As you can see, when I walked out the door, she was throwing her clothes in the pool, having a wonderful time. What was Papa doing....playing with his new IPHONE! The next time I walked outside, she was picking Grammy's flowers. I guess that's what you get for free babysitting!!!!

Sept. 3rd, 2008

Just wanted to let every one know, Dawson will be making her big TV debut on "Good Comapny" this Friday. This show airs from 10-11 following the Today Show. She will be there with my friend Gretchen (who owns The Little Gym) showing off her Little Gym skills. Try to keep in mind this is live TV and I don't know what might happen...wish her luck. I can't take off work Friday so, my mom will be going up to the studio on Friday morning with her. What an experience!

Here are a few pictures from the zoo last Sunday. Grammy and Papa bought us the zoo pass for Dawson's first birthday. I would have to say we went ALL the time this summer. It was a wonderful gift! I can now say Dawson is a true American kid now...she is eating her first HOT DOG!! (she loved it as you can see from her face!) and FISHING for bugs!!!!
