Mermaids and Jumping

What a beautiful spring day it was today! Ohio hit 80 degrees this afternoon so you know we had to take advantage of the amazing weather. We took our two McDonald's mermaids out for a swim and swing and did a little jumping off the big rock in our yard. What better way to enjoy the weather!

Our two beautiful mermaids....

The girls going for a swim in the water table.

One of the girls got a ride on the swing.

Hanging out on the grass after many, many, many jumps off the rock!

Jumping, jumping, jumping, jumping! We do this over and over almost every single night. There's something about this rock that makes jumping soooo much fun!

Soccer

Soccer time! We signed up for a six week soccer session and boy is this fun! I know she's a little young to play games so I searched high and low for more of a skills class. This class is once a week for an hour and requires parent participation. In all honesty, we can't make it an hour. At about 45 minutes all the kids start rolling on the ground. The educator in me now leaves at 45 minutes to make the experience fun, not boring and dreaded. It's a little intense already. For example, the kids were told to pass from left foot to left foot! Then they were told to pass from right foot to right foot. Are you kidding me? They don't know left from right and would rather just pass in general. All in all, the experience is good for Dawson. She still is very shy in group situations so my goal is to keep exposing her to these type of situations so she gets used to different people at different places. At the end of each session, I always get an "I love soccer mom!" That's the best part of my day!

Happy Feet

There is something about these cute feet, in the sand and water,
that make me feel happy!

Curious George

I can guarantee each and everyone of us know who this is? It's fun to see that a character I liked as a little kid is still around for my daughter to enjoy!

Since 1941, Curious George has made all of us laugh with his silly adventures. There are books, dolls, socks, clothes, toys, etc. all about George but, now there is a MUSICAL! George and all his friends, including the Man in the Yellow Hat, sang and danced for an entire show.

With George in hand, looking over the main lobby of the theater.

We did happen to catch a quick photo with George. If you know Dawson, you know she's not keen on dressed up creatures unless you are CINDERELLA! Notice the expression on her face!

And the finale...George and the Man in the Yellow Hat...friends for life and another good lesson learned!

Easter Pics...

Better late than never! I've had these pictures ready to go and just have not had time to post in the past week! So here's a little Easter, a little late!

The hunt begins....

One in the tree.

Look how many I have!

And some after Easter fun...back to the swingset!

She just flies down this slide......and laughs the whole way down. Another good investment on my part...the swingset!

Friends...

Dawson and I are both so lucky to have such good friends. Throughout the past few years we have really met some amazing people and developed some new friendships. We have so many commonalities amongst us it's almost scary! The more we get together with Lynn, Kyle, Grace, Aimee, Andy and Mayna, the more the girls interact and laugh together. I love the way the girls are having so much fun laughing and being silly!

Going Home

We are on our way home. It was not too hard for Dawson to wheel her own bag and carry along her shopping bag. I am so in trouble when she's a teenager!

Taking a long needed rest on the airplane! It got very quiet for a moment and I turned around and here she was....crashed! It's been a lot of fun and a lot of play for the past week. Time to get home and recover!
